lets have some

We ask all people who are staying at Kanekiki to be clean and sober.

By ‘clean and sober’, we mean without consuming any of the following:

  • Tobacco

  • Alcohol

  • Marijuana – medical or recreational

  • Ayahuasca

  • Magic Mushrooms

  • Prescription Drugs – when not prescribed or misused

  • LSD, Speed, Heroin, Cocaine

  • Meth/Ice

  • Any other mind altering substance

It’s important that you understand that we have a zero tolerance to these substances.  You'll need to be willing to embrace our Drug-Free Agreement. We all agree not to use any drugs, whether on or off the property, while living at Kanekiki.

The only exceptions to this agreement may be the use of certain prescribed medication.  These exceptions are assessed on a case-by-case basis. You may be asked to provide a letter from your doctor to support your case. Please mention any prescription medication that you are taking when you apply.

We have a random drug test policy in place. If you have been using any substances recently, you'll need to withdraw from using them for at least six weeks prior to your arrival, and be willing to test clean shortly after arriving at Kanekiki.  If you have been using drugs daily, we may request that you withdraw from use for a period of up to one year or more.

At Kanekiki, we passionately support an environment  of authentic expression, emotional presence, and high-vitality.

Our intention is to create a sanctuary for this vital, authentic expression through our agreement to be Clean and Sober.

Our surrounding area generally has a high incidence of drug use. Kanekiki may not be a good place to come to if you are trying to overcome a drug addiction.

If after reading this you decide that Kanekiki is not right for you at present, we fully accept and support that decision.

If at any time in the future you decide you'd like to experience what Kanekiki has to offer, we would be pleased to hear from you.
